2009 Board Member Ballot

Below is the member ballot to vote for or against the slate being presented by the nominating committee. Please be sure to vote. If you are interested in joining the board at some time in the future, please join a committee. Remember, this is your club and only your participation will make it the club you want it to be!

Nancy Blagys – House Committee Chair

Nancy and her husband Cal moved to Oronoque Village in April 2001 and have been active members of the club ever since. Nancy has served on the house committee, co- chaired the founding of the Acrobats women’s group in 2001, and co-chaired the women’s member/guest in 2006 and 2007.

Prior to moving to Oronoque, Nancy and Cal lived in Greenwich with their two children. Nancy received a B.S. in sociology from the University of New Hampshire. Nancy’s work experience includes employment at AT&T in their business program, program coordinator for the ABC radio affiliates, managing her family’s appliance business and homebound tutoring for the Greenwich Public School System.

Although golf has become one of her favorite sports, tennis is still her first love. Her other interests include gardening, traveling and skiing. During the months of January through mid April Nancy and Cal can be found in warm, sunny Arizona playing golf and tennis.

Tony Perri – Greens Committee Chair

Tony Perri and his wife Arlene live in Shelton and have been members of Oronoque County Club for the past 16 years. Tony is a retired Bridgeport Fire Department Pumper Engineer. He has been a football coach for Pop Warner programs, college and semi-pro ball. Tony and Arlene have two daughters and two grandchildren.

Tony has been a member of the golf committee and greens committee and is looking forward to continuing working towards making Oronoque the best place to play golf in the area.

Judy Gamble – Membership Committee Chair

Judy Gamble and her husband George have lived in Shelton for the past 39 years. They have one son, Geoffrey, who is married and lives in San Diego, Ca. She works for her husband’s insurance agency in Derby, Ct.

Judy has been a member of Oronoque for two years. Prior to joining Oronoque she was a member of Race Brook country Club where she was the first woman elected to the board of governors.

Judy is an avid golfer and is Past President of the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association. She also served two terms on the Women’s Connecticut Amateur Committee.

Judy has served on the membership committee and will bring her vast experience to the Membership Chair position.
